Giux-CalcLab / SPICE Simulator

Results & Workspace

Simulation results remain numerical throughout Giux-CalcLab. The quick Results panel, Waveform Viewer, exports, saved simulations, and saved plot configurations all refer to the recorded dataset rather than treating a screenshot as the result.

Results panel

After a successful run, the Results panel provides the current status and the actions available for that execution mode:

  • Quick plotting and recorded measurements.
  • Open in the full Waveform Viewer.
  • View or download the SPICE Log.
  • Download numerical CSV and the validated netlist where available.
  • Keep an eligible server result in My workspace.

SPICE Log

Local simulation exposes the local ngspice output. Server simulation exposes a sanitized server log without internal paths, worker details, or credentials. The log can be inspected in the Results area and downloaded as text. When a server result is kept, its available sanitized log can be stored with the saved simulation.

Waveform Viewer

The current numerical viewer supports:

  • Selection from all recorded quantities without rerunning the simulation.
  • AC displays including dB, magnitude, phase, real, and imaginary values.
  • Up to six synchronized plot panes.
  • Trace color, width, dash style, visibility, and movement between panes.
  • Linear or logarithmic axes, manual ranges, autoscale, and reset.
  • Two cursors with delta readings.
  • Collapsible controls, plot maximization, and a resizable viewer layout.

Export

ExportContents
CSVNumerical data for the visible traces.
PNGRaster image of the current plot.
SVGVector image of the current plot.
Plot configurationJSON describing the viewer layout and trace settings.
NetlistThe available simulation netlist as text.
SPICE LogThe available local or sanitized server log as text.

Save plot to workspace is available to Registered and Trusted owners of a saved server simulation. It persists the plot configuration and retains the required numerical source data.

Temporary and saved results

Temporary result

A completed server job is temporary and shows its expiration date. The current default retention is 2 days for a verified Guest, 14 days for a Registered account, and 90 days for a Trusted account. Expiration removes the temporary result according to that policy.

Saved result

Registered and Trusted users can select Keep result. Giux-CalcLab then stores the appropriate numerical waveform, circuit or stored netlist, available log, and viewer metadata in persistent storage, subject to quota. It remains until the owner deletes it or the storage policy changes. Guest users cannot keep results.

When the circuit has a workspace name, saved results use that circuit name with the analysis type and a progressive number. If no usable name is available, the interface requests one instead of creating indistinguishable generic result names.

My workspace

The account workspace presents logical Giux-CalcLab objects rather than server storage details:

  • Circuits — list, open, inspect size, and delete saved graphical projects.
  • Saved simulations — list, open in the numerical viewer, inspect size, and delete persistent results.
  • Saved plots — reopen saved viewer configurations backed by their numerical dataset.
  • Storage — see used space, total quota, and the available category breakdown.

Deleting a saved object updates quota accounting. Every operation is authorized per object and per owner.

Read-only sharing

Registered and Trusted users can create revocable read-only links for saved circuits and saved plot configurations. A circuit share contains a schematic snapshot and its netlist. A plot share contains the saved viewer configuration and the numerical dataset needed to render it. Shared visitors cannot edit, submit a job, navigate the owner's workspace, or access logs, account data, storage paths, or unrelated objects. Sharing an entire saved simulation as a separate object is not enabled.
