Giux-CalcLab / SPICE Simulator

Loading & Saving

Giux-CalcLab separates circuit project files, textual netlists, temporary job results, and persistent workspace objects. A PNG image is an export, not the canonical simulation result; saved simulations keep numerical data so the interactive viewer can reconstruct the graph.

Save and open on your computer

Save to computer downloads a .spicepad project file. It contains the schematic components, positions and metadata, wires, probes, text, selected models, analysis directives, imported textual netlist when present, and component counters. Open from computer restores that project in the editor.

The editor also keeps an automatic browser-local recovery copy. A downloaded project is the portable copy to keep or move between browsers.

Save and open in My workspace

Registered and Trusted users can give a circuit a title and select Save to workspace. The workspace bundle keeps the graphical schematic, a sanitized stored netlist, viewer configuration, and server-compatibility metadata. Use Open from workspace or the Circuits list in My workspace to reopen it.

Guest users do not receive persistent storage. Workspace objects are owner-scoped, and the interface never exposes server volume IDs or filesystem paths.

Generated netlists

The Netlist panel shows the SPICE text generated from the current schematic and selected analysis. You can copy or download it. Saving a circuit and keeping a result are separate operations: a completed server job remains temporary until you explicitly keep it.

Import a textual netlist

Imported SPICE text becomes the active textual netlist. It is not converted into graphical components and does not reconstruct the schematic canvas. The browser performs an initial compatibility check, and every server submission is validated again using the stricter server policy.

The import precheck currently accepts:

  • R, C, L, independent V/I, D, and Q element lines.
  • Validated .model definitions and model continuations.
  • One .op, .dc, .ac, or .tran analysis.
  • A .control block limited to analysis and .meas/.measure declarations.
  • A terminating .end.

Includes, libraries, subcircuits, functions, arbitrary file or shell commands, plotting/printing directives, loops, variables, and alterations are rejected by the current import path. See Limits & Imported Netlists for exact sizes and the server subset.

Save results and exports

Use Keep result to move an eligible temporary server result into persistent workspace storage. Use the Waveform Viewer to export numerical CSV, PNG, SVG, and plot configuration files. Netlists and sanitized SPICE logs can also be downloaded. Persistence, naming, quota use, deletion, and read-only links are covered in Results & Workspace.
